Good People. Good Vibes. Good Causes.
Cyber House Party exists to bring the cybersecurity community together through music, friendship, fundraising, and a shared belief that our industry is at its best when everyone feels welcome.
Whether you’re joining us for the first time or you’re a Cyber House Party regular, these House Rules help ensure everyone has a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable experience.
By attending a Cyber House Party event, you agree to follow these simple rules.
💜 Be Excellent to Each Other
It’s a simple rule, but it’s the most important one.
Treat everyone with kindness, dignity, and respect regardless of their:
- Gender
- Race or ethnicity
- Religion or belief
- Disability
- Sexual orientation
- Age
- Job title
- Experience level
- Community affiliation
Everyone belongs here.
🚫 No Harassment. No Exceptions.
Cyber House Party operates a zero-tolerance policy towards:
- Harassment
- Bullying
- Intimidation
- Discrimination
- Hate speech
- Unwanted advances
- Offensive, threatening, or abusive behaviour
If someone asks you to stop, stop immediately.
Anyone found breaching these rules may be removed from the event without refund and may be prohibited from attending future Cyber House Party events.
🍻 Drink Responsibly
We all love a good party, but please know your limits.
If you’ve had one too many, please do the right thing and head home safely.
Our volunteers are here to help, not to babysit.
Aggressive, disruptive, or unsafe behaviour caused by excessive alcohol consumption will not be tolerated.
🚫 Drugs Are Not Welcome Here
The use, possession, or distribution of illegal drugs at any Cyber House Party event is strictly prohibited.
Anyone found breaking this rule will be removed from the event immediately and venue management may be informed.
🎟 Respect the Venue, Staff and Volunteers
Our events only happen because of the incredible support from venues, sponsors, volunteers, DJs, security teams, and event staff.
Please:
- Follow venue rules and staff instructions
- Respect security personnel
- Use facilities responsibly
- Help us look after the spaces we are privileged to use
Don’t make life difficult for the people making the magic happen.
📸 Respect Privacy
We love seeing photos and videos shared online, but please remember:
- Ask before taking close-up photos of individuals
- Respect anyone who doesn’t want to be photographed
- Don’t share sensitive or private information online
- Be mindful when posting content involving others
Consent matters both online and offline.
🤝 Community Over Ego
Cyber House Party was built on community.
This isn’t the place for:
- Aggressive sales tactics
- Gatekeeping
- Status games
- Public arguments
- Making others feel unwelcome
Introduce yourself. Say hello. Meet someone new.
You never know who might become a future colleague, mentor, customer, business partner, or friend.
🛟 See Something? Say Something.
If you experience or witness behaviour that makes you uncomfortable, please speak to:
- A Cyber House Party volunteer
- Event organisers
- Venue security
- Event management
We would always rather know about an issue and deal with it than have someone leave feeling unsafe or unsupported.
🎶 One Final Rule…
Have fun.
Dance badly.
Meet new people.
Support the charities.
Look after one another.
Leave the event with more friends than you arrived with.
That’s what Cyber House Party is all about.
